1965 Airline Guitar - Vintage Electric Guitar

1965 Airline Guitar - Vintage Electric Guitar
I saw this guitar on craigslist today for $300. If you are a fan of Airline guitars, I'd say this is a pretty good buy.

Description:
'65 Airline. This guitar is the best. Montgomery Wards made, interesting Gibson RD-esque body style, crazy headstock shape. I have had this guitar for 9 years and have never seen another one exactly like it on the internet. Finish has dings and a few scratches, wear on the outside (possibly from a strap?). Everything appears original, including tuners, hardware, mother of pearl inlay dots (slightly sunken) pickups and knobs. Strap holders were replaced at some point. Pickups have a big, fat and blunt sound, particularly the neck position, and the tone knobs control way more of the high range than on other guitars. I assume the pickups are single-coil but I don't actually know anything about them. They don't hum or buzz. The guitar works great and it sounds awesome. The neck is very fat, with a slight v-shape, and is bolted on with 3 screws. When I bought the guitar the salesman took the pickguard and pickups off (1 piece) and 1965 is stamped on the back of the pickups. The capacitors on the tone knobs are wrapped in red paper, and they're huge. I've never seen anything like it. Oh, and based on the area where the finish is worn off I would say that the guitar body is not particle board. It has woodgrain and actually looks like it is one piece.
